I did wear heels for the first time in four years Saturday evening, but only to sit and have dinner with my fiance and some friends. The pain was worth it because the heels were fierce! Black ankle booties with two buckles on each foot... heavenly. I received them as a Christmas gift from my lovely parents since I had my eye on them for quite some time. I think my butt muscles are sore from them! The picture shows me wearing black studded flats, which are also quite fierce if you ask me :-) But, I am bias.

RSD Never Looked So Good!
I kid! I kid!

Ahh, shoe love. Sadly, this is something that all too often goes by the wayside when you've got RSD/CRPS in your feet. :(
I mean, I never wore heels of any nature almost ever, and even preferred comfortable footwear... but to have an option of what to wear, not to be down to wearing 'croc' type holey foam shoes because they are the only thing soft enough to pad my puffy little foot... sigh.
I'm not aiming for high heeled fashion booties, but just being able to wear the Keen Mary Jane outdoor-wear yet cute girlie shoes I already own would be nice!
And you indeed look very lovely, Maria. It's all so true when the cruel trick of RSD is that we all 'look so normal/healthy'.
Thanks for the picture; it's always nice to see your pretty face. :)
Awww - you look lovely - love it!!
I haven't been able to wear heels for nearly 2 years now because of the RSD! I used to absolutely live in my heels that weren't too high but now I daren't even attempt to put them on my feet lol! It seems all I live in now is my Ugg Boots and trainers because they are the most comfiest pair of shoes I have ... the Ugg boots are lovely and sooo soft but it's a nightmare trying to get them on because of the rotation in my foot!!
You look lovely Maria and I give you credit for even attempting to try and wear heels!
Love and hugs,
Alison.
Eeeeeek!
I mean you look lovely
but
High heels were the reason I got RSD in the first place!
So you can understand my fear of them :)
I think your blog is ace!

I'm also 24 with RSD. I have a GREAT love for the high heels! My RSD is in my right foot and I haven't really been able to wear heels for a few years. Good for you!!!
